Law Office of Mark S. Snodgrass
Mark Snodgrass is an experienced criminal defense lawyer
known for aggressively representing people accused of
crimes in state and federal courts throughout the State of Texas.
Mark concentrates the majority of his practice to criminal cases
in order to achieve consistent results for his clients.
Thorough representation of clients has led to Mark achieving
not guilty jury verdicts or dismissals for clients in cases ranging
from Capital Murder, Murder, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Drug
Offenses, DWI to Traffic Offenses. No case is too big or too little
for our office.
Mark received his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech
University and his law degree from St. Mary's School of Law. After
completing law school Mark began practicing law in the law offices
of the late Floyd Holder. In 1999, Mark started his own practice,
opening the Law Office of Mark S. Snodgrass.
Mark is a past president of the Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers
Association. He served as a director of the Texas Criminal Defense
Lawyers Association from 2003-2009.
Mark is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Project and served that organization as vice chair in 2008 and served as chairman in 2009.
A frequent speaker throughout the State of Texas, Mark has lectured other criminal defense lawyers on many topics related to the defense of people accused of crimes. Additionally, Mark has served on the faculty of the Texas Criminal Trial College since 2008.
Mark is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas, United States District Court-Northern District of Texas, and United States Court of Appeals-Fifth Circuit.
Megan Metsgar was born in Stephenville, Texas but soon moved to
Southern California where she spent most of her youth. She attended
University of Pennsylvania where she was a member of the
gymnastics team. While competing for Penn, she helped lead her
team to 2 Ivy League Championships. After graduating cum laude
with a B.S. in Psychology, she decided to return to her Texas roots
and made Lubbock her home. She graduated magna cum laude from
Texas Tech School of Law in 2015.
While in law school, Megan clerked for various well-known attorneys
in Lubbock, as well as for the Federal Public Defender’s office.
During her third year, Megan was a student-attorney for the Texas
Tech Criminal Defense Clinic, representing indigent clients against
various criminal charges including DWIs, drug offenses, thefts, and
assaults. Megan earned the Top Grade and Distinction award in
multiple classes throughout her law school career.
Megan began working as an associate for the Law Offices of
Mark Snodgrass immediately after graduating law school. Her
practice includes handling all types of criminal defense matters,
juvenile law, divorces, child custody disputes, child support issues and CPS matters. She is dedicated to ensuring each and every client has the most thorough representation possible.
Megan is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Lubbock Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Texas State Bar of College. She is licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas.
Mary Lou is the Office Manager at the Law Office of Mark S. Snodgrass. Before joining Mark and Megan, Mary Lou worked as a court coordinator in the Lubbock County Courthouse for the past 23 years.
